Mountain Caribou Hunts
It is important to note that there is currently no open season for Mountain Caribou in our region due to the traditional harvesting practices associated with the Southern Lakes Caribou herd by the local First Nations and Indigenous Peoples.
In this region, caribou bulls have impressively large bodies and equally majestic antlers, with some book sized old bulls having been recorded over the years. The herd is healthy and growing, and observing the caribou is always a nice aspect of the wilderness experience.
